The PGA TOUR will hold its 138th British Open Championship from July 16 to July 19 on SIRIUS channel 209 with the "Best of XM" programming package. SiriusXM is the exclusive national radio broadcaster of this championship. This year"s edition of the Open will feature a number of new and returning shows, including the R&A Celebration of Champions, a special four-hole event at St. Andrews.

In addition to live play-by-play coverage of the Open, SiriusXM will also provide three-hour wrap-ups of each day"s play. The network will also air an audio documentary that celebrates the 150th anniversary of The Open. A number of PGA Tour players will be interviewed, including Tony Lema, who won the Claret Jug in 1964 at St. Andrews, and Tiger Woods, who recalls his victory over Costantino Rocca in the 1995 play-off.

Several tour pros will host SiriusXM shows leading up to the tournament, including Crushing It with Kokrak, a daily show airing at 8 pm ET. Additionally, Making the Turn with Peter Kessler will air Thursday mornings at 11 am to Noon ET. Fairways of Life with Matt Adams will air Monday through Wednesday at 7:00 am to 9:00 am ET.

A number of new and old shows will be hosted before and during the championship. On the on-course side of things, Maureen Madill and Carl Paulson will serve as on-course commentators. These two will also participate in a post-round discussion with major champions. Another show, the oPINionated, will be anchored by PGA Tour broadcaster Greg Warmoth.

NBCUniversal owns the rights to the U.S. Open in the U.S., but SiriusXM will be the only radio broadcaster to offer the Open"s first-ever audio documentary. Titled The Open, the documentary highlights a number of key moments in the 122-year history of the championship, from the creation of the Open to the history of the Old Course at St. Andrews.

In other news, SIRIUS XM has signed a long-term agreement with Toyota Motors, which will see the two companies work together on an extensive array of automotive content for the next five years. Additionally, SiriusXM has signed up to be the exclusive programmer of subscription audio for the NBCUniversal family of networks. Both companies have a long list of partners, including Jimmy Buffett, who is an honorary ambassador to the U.S. Open, and the R&A, which will make a presentation on the upcoming championship. Other notable partnerships include the PGA Tour, where SiriusXM carries live hole-in-hole coverage of majors.

Finally, SIRIUS XM has recently announced plans for a state-of-the-art broadcast center in Miami in 2023. This will include a full-service broadcast center, recording studios, office space, and a world-class performance facility for special events. With its SIRI broadcast center, the company will serve as a one-stop destination for major stars and promotional tours. Ultimately, the center will feature artist-first radio studios, as well as a world-class performance space.
